Causes of Anxiety Attacks- Why are There Delays?
from:Let us try to examine.
When a person gets anxious or nervous in front of so many people (given that he has no experience yet with huge public gatherings), the sensation that he undergoes is normal. He may have faster beating of the heart and normal sweating. But, when he. already displays serious physical symptoms other than these and become overly reactive to social conditions, then he may already be having psychiatric illness in the form of anxiety disorder.
Anxiety disorder is a chronic condition characterized for recurrent intense feeling of fear, anxiousness and discomfort during social interactions. The most typical symptoms include trembling, nausea, sweating, hyperventilation, dizziness and a number of others that may be conceived as beyond normal. This disorder is often easy to detect since it displays symptoms that are rather different from those of other psychiatric conditions since anxiety attacks in this form are abrupt, disabling and consuming. Anxiety attacks in this case are typically more of the degenerative cycle since in each episode the physical condition is aggravated by the mental condition. The same is true the other way around.
Though the medical circles have definitive records of symptoms and causes for anxiety attacks, there are still some veils of mystery that permit them from discovering fully what lays behind anxiety disorder and each anxiety attacks. More possibly, the factor that triggers the onset of anxiety disorder is not caused by a stimulus rather a number of conditions that may lead to anxiety attacks.
Among the most common of which that may also be found in other sources are the following:
a) panic disorder, panic disorder with or without agoraphobia,
b) social phobia, specific forms of phobia
c) post-traumatic stress disorder
d) obsessive-compulsive disorder
e) adjustment disorder
f) separation disorder
g) anxiety disorder that is induced by a particular substance
Obviously enough, these details alone will tell us that anxiety attacks and the underlying causes are in themselves too complex to be analyzed in a single sitting. Say for example, panic disorder and agoraphobia are two different conditions by which the affected part is the psychological make-up and the behavioral state of the individual. Before we can arrive at anything that is applicable in the diagnosis, one has to dissect first what truly are the conditions that characterize both disorders. Then one has to unify all the details encountered to project a diagnosis. But that does not stop there. The doctor or the health care provider would still have to analyze other conditions that cover the same symptoms the anxiety attacks have.
You see, it is truly a painstaking process to detect what truly causes a psychiatric condition such as anxiety attacks. But this does not imply that there are no treatments (and even cures!) for the disorder. The point is, treatment may go well beyond into years before any significant results may be yielded. And before any treatment is made, one still has to look for the root causes of anxiety attacks.
Additionally, there may be some confusion along the way since both physical and psychological display of symptoms are hardy recognizable from that of the symptoms of other diseases. And so, the person affected must understand these facts. Believe me, understanding alone may help you lead to the proper detection of the causes and the treatment afterwards.
